In 1985, the Association handed over the school to the Ministry of Education. Khee Fatt School, presently known as Qifa Primary School, was re-located at 50 West Coast Avenue. Qifa Primary was officially opened on 18 September 1987 by Dr Tan Cheng Bock, Member of Parliament, Ayer Rajah Constituency. (Khee Fatt School, formerly known as Khee Fatt Study Institution, became a government school known as "Qifa Primary School". Jubilee Primary School was closed in 1996 and merged with Qifa Primary in 1997. In January 2008, Jin Tai Primary School merged into Qifa Primary School to form the current Qifa Primary School.)
