Sepak Takraw Court & Boyanese kampong

Recollection

P. Jeya Putra - Transcript of 8 May 2018 interview by Chan Kim Yin Sepak Takraw Court & Boyanese kampong off Chestnut Avenue intersection with Chestnut Crescent If you go down Chestnut Avenue at the intersection with Chestnut Crescent, going down Chestnut Avenue towards the forest reserve, on the right used to be a sepak takraw court in the 70s. And, I think the Boyanese kampong that occupied the right side of Chestnut Ave produced no less than two sepak takraw players that represented Singapore at the SEA games. I used to play sepak takraw with them and it was a treat watching these guys play. The Boyanese kampong started at the right side of Chestnut Avenue with its intersection with Chestnut Crescent, and stretched all the way past Petir Road, just where the Treehouse condo is now located. Beyond that was a Chinese kampong.
